Hildegard Knutzen and Jutta Weinert have barely toasted with Töteberg to their deceased fellow player when a car crashes into the tree in Töteberg's garden without braking. The driver, who is shot, lives just long enough to tell the three that there is a lot of money in his trunk. A fact that entails some far-reaching implications.
